Marketing Ideas for November 2025
The holiday rush is here! November is all about turning excitement into action. Your promotions, events, and gift ideas should be front and center. Whether you’re planning for Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, or Cyber Monday, now’s the time to connect with your customers and stand out in the noise of everyone else advertising. Don’t forget to ask your in store customers to join your Discord, emailing list, or text program to be able to make sure they know about your upcoming sales, events, or holiday schedule.
Use this November marketing calendar to plan your campaigns, boost engagement by creating new and different events, and most of all, keep your sales on track all month long for the set up of a great ending to the 2025 year.
1st
- National Author’s Day
- Author’s Day and Family Literacy Day together make a great combination. If you’ve got comic books, great. If you’ve got novels, even better. Got RPG books? talk about those authors and books. Plan an event around this, if you have local authors it’s a great time to cross promote and have a book signing.
2nd
- Daylight Saving Time Ends
- Don’t forget to move those clocks back one hour. Then figure out what you’re going to do with that extra hour. Besides sleep.
4th
- National Candy Day
- If you’ve got some leftover Halloween candy, this is what you’ve been saving it for. Give it away to your customers that visit you today!
- Election Day
- Today is the day in which every American is encouraged to vote for their choice for representation in their local, state, and some Federal positions. This year there are several special elections to fill positions in the House of Representatives. As each year, there are plenty of state and local elections to look at. Make your voices heard and be sure to vote.
5th
- National Stress Awareness Day
- This is a day dedicated to identifying stressors in our lives and developing strategies and skills to cope. Not only something to promote to your customers but also a great opportunity to check in with yourself and your staff.
6th
- Project Management Day
- Normally a day to celebrate project managers in larger organizations, we can look at today as a look over the year. Take a moment to see if there has been any projects you started but haven’t completed yet or to take a moment to start an early project list for 2026. The earlier you start planning, the better chance you have at completing it.
7th
- Hug a Bear Day
- This day is to bring awareness to how powerful a hug can be for making people feel seen, comforted, and loved. With permission, offer today a day of “FREE HUGS” alongside with a marketing highlight of your plush toy selections. Bonus if you have a store mascot with a store logo shirt to offer as many hugs as needed. Double super bonus if you can get these hugs photographed and used on your social media as a spreading love and hugs day.
8th
- National STEM/STEAM Day
- Today we encourage kids to innovate through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Many games have this as an object or are part of the STEM learning experience. Astra has an award for STEM games and toys. The retailer Fat Brain Toys has a special selection of just STEM toys and games.

- Veterans Day
- Today we honor all those military veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces. As a reminder, today is a banking holiday as well.
15th
- Happy Birthday Steve Irwin
- Steve Irwin was an Australian wildlife conservationist also known as, “The Crocodile Hunter” His love and compassion for animals and the impact of Humans on animals and wildlife. His memorial service was viewed by over 300 million people at the time worldwide. Today can be used as an event to help clean up the community, donations for a local wildlife agency, or even donations for the nearest SPCA. Some animal shelters or hospitals may take donations to help people or animals that may not be able to normally afford services.

- Mickey Mouse’s Birthday
- First introduced on this day in 1928 as a rabbit named Oswald, Mickey Mouse is nearing his 100th birthday. Chances are you’re already carrying some kind of Disney-owned property – show it off!
19th
- National Play Monopoly Day
- One of the most popular board games in history, known for tearing apart many relationships, Monopoly is truly a shelf staple. With so many special editions of the game, there is one for just about every customer.
23rd
- Doctor Who Day

- Fibonacci Day
- 1, 1, 2, 3… is the simplest Fibonacci sequence, where a number is the sum of the two numbers before it. So it makes sense that in countries with a MM/DD format, on 11/23 we celebrate Leonardo Fibonacci’s discovery of this sequence, an accomplishment that actually originated from a puzzle about rabbit procreation.

- Thanksgiving Day
- For most Americans, Thanksgiving is a time for family, bountiful feasts, and the start of the holiday season. For retailers and store owners, it’s the calm before the storm that is possibly the busiest sales weekend all year.

- Black Friday
- Less of a one-day sale recently than in previous years, chances are big box retailers have already been advertising or even running sales for weeks or more. Hopefully, you’ve also been running ads, promotions, and even some sales.

- Small Business Saturday
- Even if you’re running sales for Black Friday, save something special for Small Business Saturday. Encourage people to spend money right in their own communities, ideally at your small business and others in your neighborhood. American Express has a small business portal here.
